DJ Polo
Marking our return to Bristol we welcome DJ Polo. Flying the UK Funky flag high, he’s quickly become synonymous with the new gen. Starting his career in his hometown Bristol with the legendary Sprung UK Funky day parties, he helped bring some of the biggest names in the genre to the city including Hard House Banton, Crazy Cousins and T Williams, he then pivoted to focusing on producing. In recent years, his releases on Club Djembe, Roska Kicks & Snares, Livity Sound as well as his own self releases, showcase his wide ranging production style that draws from Amapiano, UK Funky and rhythmic heavy club music.
We’ll be back at Dareshack Feb 1st to sit down to hear his creative process and how he manages to make those drums so crisp!
Our events are for all music lovers, producers and non-producers alike. Anyone with an interest in music is welcome! For the producers attending, we run OpenCDR towards the end of each event where you can listen to your works in progress and receive advice & feedback from a supportive community as well as meeting other artists and producers.

Keep up to date on all things CDR
Since we started back in 2001, CDR has been all about community, creating spaces for people to connect and develop through music.
Back in the Plastic People days, you could fit all of us in one small room around one soundsystem. Today, our projects and programmes extend from the dancefloor to schools, youth centres, as well as grassroots clubs and venues across the country and further afield. But in challenging times, with grassroots organisations like ours closing all around us, every bit of support counts.
Your help will enable us to continue delivering music programmes and events in the UK to the people who need it most. Our mission is simple: to build an equitable music ecosystem for producers and artists.
