Our next Artist Talk and openCDR leads us to Corsica Studios where London-based electronic artist, DJ and composer for film, tv and the visual arts, E.M.M.A. aka Emma Davies joins for an immersive artist talk.

Her album Indigo Dream, achieved no. 2 album of the year by Crack Magazine in 2020 and her score work includes The Fortune Teller by Gucci ft. Tippi Hedren. In addition to her artistry and score work, E.M.M.A runs Pastel Prism Records and has released music on Local Action Records and Deutsche Grammophon amongst other labels over the past decade. Emma's latest release is the Miami Vice-inspired Change My Mind on Pastel Prism Records.

In 2016 E.M.M.A. founded passion project Producergirls - the first free-to-attend UK-based beginners' electronic music production workshops for women with Ikonika, P Jam, Dexplicit and Nightwave. As part of the Producergirls instagram community, Emma has written extensively on music production topics for beginners to help break down barriers to entry. She has also shared her own experience and hacks via a regular column in DJ Magazine which ran over 12 months.

For those new to CDR Sessions, the event centres on an in-depth, production focussed interview with the guest artist, exploring their career and creative process. Our events are for all music lovers, producers and non-producers alike. The talk is flanked by ‘OpenCDR’ - a DJ set of audience music submissions. This is a chance for music makers to:

Hear your own music on an amazing club sound system

Artists of all experience levels welcome

No restrictions - all genres & styles welcome

Bring your music at any stage of development - from rough idea to final master, and everything in between

Join a supportive community of artists & producers
