NIIX
This April we welcome up and coming producer NIIX to Manchester’s Soup Kitchen. Already making waves since her 2021 debut EP “I”, her productions have received widespread attention with numerous radio plays across NTS, BBC Introducing as well as a feature on Spotify’s New Music Friday UK playlist.
After playing fan favourite live and DJ sets at Gottwood Festival, Africa Oyé and Audio Farm, we’re thrilled to be welcoming NIIX to Soup Kitchen for an in depth insight into her creative process.
For those new to CDR, the Session includes an in-depth, production focused interview where we'll go deep on her career and creative process. Then, after the interview, there will be a chance for any aspiring producers in the audience to have their work in progress tracks played on the club soundsystem.
Our events are for all music lovers, producers and non-producers alike. Anyone with an interest in music is welcome! For the producers attending, we run OpenCDR towards the end of each event where you can listen to your WIPs and receive feedback from the artist.

Keep up to date on all things CDR
Since we started back in 2001, CDR has been all about community, creating spaces for people to connect and develop through music.
Back in the Plastic People days, you could fit all of us in one small room around one soundsystem. Today, our projects and programmes extend from the dancefloor to schools, youth centres, as well as grassroots clubs and venues across the country and further afield. But in challenging times, with grassroots organisations like ours closing all around us, every bit of support counts.
Your help will enable us to continue delivering music programmes and events in the UK to the people who need it most. Our mission is simple: to build an equitable music ecosystem for producers and artists.
