Sarahsson
Bristol based Sarahsson is a phenomenal composer, producer, performance artist and DJ. Already dubbed a force to be reckoned with, her sound merges a rejection of binaries, the gore aspects of nature, the feminine and is a visceral expression of divine queerness and her experience with synaesthesia. Debut LP on Bristol label Illegal Data, The Horgenaith, saw a rejection of pre-made samples in favour of field recordings featuring a Daxophone she built herself. Classical music, metal and electronic music converge for a unique listening adventure. Bodily transformation and the Avant-Garde is central to her output. Channelling emotion, textures, melody into an all encompassing whirlwind experience, we’re very excited to be hosting her artist talk at Dareshack in Bristol on May 9th.
For those new to CDR, the Session includes an in-depth, production focused interview where we'll go deep on their career and creative process. Then, after the interview, there will be a chance for any aspiring producers in the audience to have their work in progress tracks played on the club soundsystem.
Our events are for all music lovers, producers and non-producers alike. Anyone with an interest in music is welcome! For the producers attending, we run OpenCDR towards the end of each event where you can listen to your WIPs and receive feedback from the artist.

Keep up to date on all things CDR
Since we started back in 2001, CDR has been all about community, creating spaces for people to connect and develop through music.
Back in the Plastic People days, you could fit all of us in one small room around one soundsystem. Today, our projects and programmes extend from the dancefloor to schools, youth centres, as well as grassroots clubs and venues across the country and further afield. But in challenging times, with grassroots organisations like ours closing all around us, every bit of support counts.
Your help will enable us to continue delivering music programmes and events in the UK to the people who need it most. Our mission is simple: to build an equitable music ecosystem for producers and artists.
