Find mixing a perplexing experience? Out The Box aims to demystify the analogue mixing process for music producers.
In a 3-hour introductory session, artists receive practical, hands-on training from professional mix engineers on classic analogue mixing desks and hardware outboard gear in some of London’s best studios. In Strongroom Studios, Ten87 and UD (United Development), producers will have the opportunity to hear their music out of top-of-the-range studio monitors in an acoustically-treated environment. It’s an exciting opportunity to run through the process of a studio mix step-by-step, while meeting other like- minded producers and artists.
OTB launches in April 2025 and continues with evening sessions hosted across the three studios throughout April, May and June. Click here to apply. Please submit your application by 10th March 2025. Since we started back in 2001, CDR has been all about community, creating spaces for people to connect and develop through music.
Back in the Plastic People days, you could fit all of us in one small room around one soundsystem. Today, our projects and programmes extend from the dancefloor to schools, youth centres, as well as grassroots clubs and venues across the country and further afield. But in challenging times, with grassroots organisations like ours closing all around us, every bit of support counts.
Your help will enable us to continue delivering music programmes and events in the UK to the people who need it most. Our mission is simple: to build an equitable music ecosystem for producers and artists.
