In Conversation With LCY
LCY (FKA as L U C Y) is a London based, Bristol born musician and visual/audio artist and DJ. A main focus of LCY's work is world building and storytelling, writing stories and creating art to flesh out their sci-fi and fantasy narratives. Their sets are known to be dark and deconstructed whilst still paying deep homage to UK club music. In 2019 LCY launched SZNS7N, a label and platform that puts its importance in creative collaboration and celebration. The label has released with artists such as MISFYA, Diessa, Teya Logos, NARA and Ship Sket and 4 years in still continues to focus on artists that push artistic boundaries.
Don't miss this opportunity to take a deeper look into LCY's craft. Bring your tunes for the opportunity to experience your music being played at Bristol's Exchange.
For those new to CDR Sessions, the event centres on an in-depth, production focussed interview with the guest artist, exploring their career and creative process. Our events are for all music lovers, producers and non-producers alike. The talk is flanked by ‘OpenCDR’ - a DJ set of audience music submissions.
This is a chance for music makers to:
- Hear your own music on an amazing club sound system
- Artists of all experience levels welcome
- No restrictions - all genres & styles welcome
- Bring your music at any stage of development - from rough idea to final master, and everything in between
- Join a supportive community of artists & producers

Keep up to date on all things CDR
Since we started back in 2001, CDR has been all about community, creating spaces for people to connect and develop through music.
Back in the Plastic People days, you could fit all of us in one small room around one soundsystem. Today, our projects and programmes extend from the dancefloor to schools, youth centres, as well as grassroots clubs and venues across the country and further afield. But in challenging times, with grassroots organisations like ours closing all around us, every bit of support counts.
Your help will enable us to continue delivering music programmes and events in the UK to the people who need it most. Our mission is simple: to build an equitable music ecosystem for producers and artists.
