Introducing... Ten87 Studios
Founded in 2014 by Rob burn, North London based Ten87 Studios operates with the aim of providing affordable and functional recording spaces for producers, musicians, artists and engineers in London. Born out of his own experience of navigating the pricey studio rent culture in the city, he created Ten87 with an emphasis on spaces that focused on allowing people to create quality sound within a positive environment. With Ten87 Burn’s dream of a space where his network of like minded musicians could collaborate, share equipment, skills swap and build community came to life.
Fast forward nearly a decade and Ten87 studios is now one of the largest recording studio spaces in the U.K and home to over 150 recording artists. They offer everything to get emerging and existing artists everything they need to propel their careers forward. Their day hire studio “the club” is an incredible space. 1000ft2 recording spades, lofty ceilings, intricate acoustics designed by Nick Whittaker, high spec studios with the vintage SSL6k E series console, which has 32 channels and is one of the best British analogue circuitry available right now.
What really makes this space special are the engineers on hand to help you realise your sonic dreams, whether this is in the form of live streams, filming or BTS sessions, anything is possible at Ten87 with some of their previous users including everyone from The Pixies to Connie Constance to Mount Kimbe to Goldie to BBK and even Netflix, no matter your style and genre, you’ll find a home there.

Keep up to date on all things CDR
Since we started back in 2001, CDR has been all about community, creating spaces for people to connect and develop through music.
Back in the Plastic People days, you could fit all of us in one small room around one soundsystem. Today, our projects and programmes extend from the dancefloor to schools, youth centres, as well as grassroots clubs and venues across the country and further afield. But in challenging times, with grassroots organisations like ours closing all around us, every bit of support counts.
Your help will enable us to continue delivering music programmes and events in the UK to the people who need it most. Our mission is simple: to build an equitable music ecosystem for producers and artists.
