How would you say your music production process has evolved over time? Were you a musician
or producer first?


When I started making music, I was mainly using samples. Now I really enjoy instrumentation and
synthesis.

What key changes have you seen in the music industry/bidness during your time making
records? Is independent the way to go?

Tbh I don't really have a realistic view on what the music industry is, as i like to identify with the
outsider. I do believe strongly in being independent and staying through to yourself and your
message.

Have you seen a change in your creative process since the pandemic? A change in your
approach, difference in where you find inspiration at all?

During the pandemic, I had to go really deep and reconnect with why I love what I do. I did a lot of
research into ancient music traditions and their healing aspects and how music can push
consciousness to other heights. My obsession with rhythmic patterns also grew bigger.

Tell us a little bit about the main musical ideas behind the title track on the When The Smoke
Clears EP?

When I program drums I always like to imagine how something would sound played by a drum circle, I
am also really interested in the idea of creating a rhythmic trance and having it sound like an
improvised session. also an ode to one of my favorite 36mafia albums.

Talk us through the track you last [cmd] ‘S’d ? ([ctrl] ‘S’ to PC users)


At the moment I really enjoy slower bpm's then my usual 140+, I am particularly interested in the power
of using cross rhythms combined with melodies that trigger deep reflective moments.

What piece of studio (or live) equipment would you NOT part with? – Ever!!

does, it probably will do the same to someone else... don't be afraid of going deep and into dark
corners of your soul. Music as a creative force is very generous, all the work you put into this
energetic realm will be rewarded...
