CDR is delighted to announce the expansion of Music Producer Club, our new project aiming to transform the music education system one after school workshop at a time. CDR began as a community for emerging adult producers, road testing their work in progress tunes on club sound systems. But in recent years we've realised there is a big need and opportunity for CDR to grow to provide support for young people.

Devised by Tony Nwachukwu following decades of experience in the UK music education system, Music Producer Club connects education with modern culture with the aim of:

  • Creating opportunities for young people to nurture their digital music-making ambitions with high quality, music technology led workshops that connect to their preferred genres.
  • Building a diverse and relevant music education workforce by training young artists and producers to become ‘producer educators’ and linking them with music hubs and career opportunities.

We're incredibly grateful for the support of Youth Music, which will allow us to run a series of after school MPC workshops across a range of London schools later in the year; and in Nottingham, with our partners Digit Music. We'd also like to give a massive thanks to Amplify London, whose generous support means we will be able to host an immersive 5 day MPC course for young people in Newham over the half-term break in October.

We hope to see MPC grow and evolve in the coming years with the support of the CDR community. If you'd like to hear more or get involved, please get in touch!
