This September, DJ, producer, record label head and radio host Mina joins us for our first artist talk at Corsica for our autumn / winter series of artist talks in London.

Mina is an artist whose reputation has steadily amplified over the years thanks to two EPs for Portuguese label Enchufada, countless bootlegs and remixes, and her debut album Flight Paths, released in 2019 on her own label Earth Kicks. 

‍

Her vibrant and melodic productions connect the dots between diverse styles, fusing together sounds from her London hometown, with rhythms from around  the world. Mina has collaborated with vocalists and producers from Brazil, Jamaica and Ghana, most notably the vocalist and MC Bryte, who she tours internationally with.

Ahead of her artist talk on September 26th, we chose 5 of our favourite Mina tracks.

1) Released in 2019, Mina’s debut album Flight Paths shows her wide ranging production skills.

2) Mina - Make Money feat. Bryte.

Merging her love for UK bass sounds with West African percussion through a collaboration with Bryte, this music video was originally hosted on NTS. Check out the video below:

3) Mina - Allo (feat. Gafacci & Omo Frenchie)

A reworking of her track Ringtone Riddim from debut EP Sentah, Allo was recorded during a trip to Ghana with Gafacci. Following this, Afrobeats star Frenchie recorded his accompanying vocal in London.

4) Mina - Trancehall

This collection of edits of Mina's favourite trance, dance and pop tracks from the 90s and 00s come together with her love for global club sounds. Well worth a listen for a nostalgic trip!

5) Mina - Now That's What I Call Mina (Vol 4)

And for the final output of her remix series, the bumper volume featuring Nané! Special shout out to the "Yeah Yeah" remix.
