This Friday head down to The Halley in Haggerston for the launch of new community focused platform, Orbit.

Orbit Live will be a one day collaborative conference taking place on Friday 22nd September. For the inaugural event, there will be everything from audience-led forums, promoting, workshops on funding opportunities and brand collaborations to important topics across different aspects of culture and wellbeing.

In the words of the organisers, their aim is to “flip the traditional conference format on it’s head”. With workshops led by Mina, Eastern Margins, Sister Midnight, Warm Street, Emma Warren and Tempo, there is something for everyone with particular focus centered around challenges in the music industry with timely conversations around sustainability, diversity, inclusivity and much more.

If you fancy you’re a budding promoter, Foundation FM’s Vanessa Maria will be hosting a talk at The Promoters’ Huddle, alongside Nadine Noor founder of Pxssy Palace, Matt Wickings of Corsica Studios and Carpet Shop Peckham and Charles from Unbound Events.

It also marks the launch of the Orbit Fund, which is a new grants and mentorship scheme created by The Halley in partnership with AIE Ventures. This exciting new fund will support up to 10 emerging communities.

Tickets start at £5 and are available from this link.
