I absolutely love dance music that only uses two notes in the bass line which is where the idea for this started. After that came the descending digi-harp arpeggios from the Yamaha DX21 and only then did I do the drum programming. The aim with the drums was to fuse Kenny Larkin-esque 909 hi-hats with a more broken beat rhythm. Finally came the sustained synth lead notes from the Moog Source and a couple of dancehall "HEY"s for good measure.
